I like to capture light and form in my native South Staffordshire countryside and am paticularly drawn to the rivers and canals of this area.
The combination of water, structure and mixed light and shade is a contstant inspiration.

Visits to Cornwall and Wales anually also provide a welcome chance for pallette change from the browns and yellows of the countryside to the blues and whites of the coast, i love this contrast and often find a blend between the two taking place.


Working from my home studio i create mostly abstract and semi-abstract work in acrylics on canvas, paper and wood.
A painting will often begin by taking photographs, sketches and taking mental notes before working the idea to a finished piece.
